COGITO | Melanie Filser | Leading psychologist
 
Melanie Filser graduated in clinical psychology and neuroscience (Master of Science) in 2014 in Switzerland (Basel) and has been a senior psychologist and deputy director of the COGITO Center since 2015. 
 
In various scientific positions, she has dealt with a variety of psychological and neurological disorders such as schizophrenia, affective disorders, personality disorders, alcoholism, drug addiction, Alzheimer's disease and multiple sclerosis. Her work in relevant psychological research fields introduced her to a broad range of knowledge and excellent methodological expertise. By regularly attending lectures at congresses and events for further education and training of patients, physicians and nurses, she is constantly involved in an interdisciplinary exchange. 
 
In the sense of optimal patient care and quality assurance, it is very important to her to incorporate her experiences and the latest scientific findings in her daily work at the COGITO Center. She is eager to use her knowledge to permanently develop and improve specialized diagnostic instruments as well as assessment and therapy concepts. When supervising the COGITO team, she values a regular exchange with her colleagues in order to continuously enhance the quality status. Due to her interest in the interaction of neuronal processes and the experience and behavior of people, she focusses her research efforts on the development of suitable diagnostic methods for psychiatric symptoms that can occur in the context of multiple sclerosis.
